Wine Cellar: The Best of Pálava Terroir
Our wine cellar is located directly within the premises of Rezidence Věstonice. It does not serve as a public establishment, but as a private enoteca and tasting space exclusively for our guests. The cellar has no fixed opening hours – whenever you are in the mood for a bottle of wine or a tour, we are happy to take you there personally.
A Private Collection for Wine Lovers
We are not winemakers ourselves, but passionate wine enthusiasts. We maintain an extensive collection of the finest premium (attribute) wines from the Mikulov sub-region and the Pálava area. You can purchase these wines at the same prices as directly from the producers and enjoy them in the absolute privacy of your apartment or on your terrace.
Note: The cellar is kept at a constant temperature of around 10°C (50°F) for ideal wine aging; the space is therefore designed for selection and tasting rather than long-evening lounging.
Individual Wine Tastings
As one of the few in the area, we offer the unique possibility of individual wine tastings starting from just two people (for a fee). This experience includes a guided commentary by the owner and light snacks to neutralize the palate.
During the tasting, we focus primarily on white wines, dominated by the unmistakable Welschriesling (Ryzlink vlašský) with its typical minerality from the limestone soil of Pálava. However, you will also taste fantastic Grüner Veltliner or the local Pálava variety, which was originally bred in the neighboring village of Perná.
